Previously, on Tuesday (13/10/2026), Bali Governor (Gubernur) Wayan Koster asked PT Pertamina (Persero) to accelerate the recovery of fuel oil distribution following long vehicle queues at a number of public fuel stations (SPBU) in Bali in recent days. Governor Koster conveyed this during a limited meeting with President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Simon Aloysius Mantiri and relevant officials at the PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Fuel Depot in Pesanggaran, Denpasar.
The meeting was held to discuss the condition of fuel supply and distribution constraints in Bali, as well as to formulate accelerated handling measures so that public services could quickly return to normal. After the meeting, Governor Koster, along with Pertamina's President Director and relevant officials, directly inspected the berthing and loading/unloading facilities for fuel tankers at Benoa Port (Pelabuhan).
During the meeting, Governor Koster emphasized the importance of ensuring smooth fuel distribution from storage terminals to SPBU. According to him, the availability of supply must be balanced with an effective distribution system so that the public can obtain fuel easily without having to queue for long periods.
Based on the report submitted by Pertamina, the availability of Pertalite and Pertamax fuel types in Bali is ensured to meet needs for up to the next two weeks, with additional supplies that will continue to be sent in stages. Governor Koster conveyed this information and appealed to the public not to worry about fuel availability.
"The first thing I want to ensure is that the availability of Pertalite and Pertamax fuel will last for the next two weeks. So, people don't need to worry. Supplies are available and will continue to arrive in stages," he affirmed.
Pertamina reported that on Tuesday (13/10), tankers carrying fuel supplies had arrived at the Manggis and Pesanggaran Fuel Terminals. The Pertalite supply that arrived reached 19.2 million liters, estimated to cover needs for six to seven days. Meanwhile, an additional 3 million liters of Pertamax is estimated to meet needs for about three days.
The next supply is scheduled to arrive on October 15, 16, and 17, 2026, with an additional 25 million liters of Pertalite. Pertamax supply will also be strengthened through the arrival of subsequent vessels. These gradual deliveries are expected to maintain the continuity of fuel supply during the distribution recovery process.
Pertamina has also increased the number of fuel tanker trucks from approximately 90 units to 105 units. The addition of 15 vehicles was carried out to increase the capacity and frequency of deliveries from fuel terminals to SPBU, especially in areas experiencing distribution constraints.
