balitribune.co.id | Gianyar - Kayon Run 2025 was successfully held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, bringing together 700 enthusiastic runners amidst the stunning countryside of Payangan, Gianyar, Bali. Carrying the theme “Run in Nature”, this third edition celebrated not only the spirit of sport, but also unity, sustainability, and social responsibility.
Organized by The Kayon Hotels & Resorts, the 10K race guided participants through the breathtaking landscapes of Payangan, Gianyar—from lush rice fields and jungle trails to traditional village life, offering an authentic experience that embraced the natural beauty and cultural richness of Bali.
Kayon Run is more than just a wellness event; it is a movement with purpose. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to support Yayasan Kayon Pasawitran, which focuses on education, environmental preservation, and social welfare in Bali, and Malu Dong Community, a grassroots initiative promoting sustainable living and waste management education.
With eco-friendly practices and strong community involvement embedded throughout the event, every step taken during Kayon Run became a meaningful contribution toward a better future for Bali. In addition, the event had a positive economic impact on the surrounding community by engaging local vendors, transportation services, and accommodations, helping to stimulate the local economy in Payangan and beyond.
The event began early in the morning, with gates opening at 5.30 AM and the race officially starting at 7.00 AM. Excitement filled the air as hundreds of runners prepared to embark on the scenic 10K route. Participants ranged from local residents and international guests to fitness enthusiasts, all united in the shared spirit of “Run in Nature.” At the finish line, the energy remained high as cash prizes were awarded to the winners, along with exciting door prizes that brought smiles to many participants.
The day ended with joy, pride, and a deep sense of community among everyone involved in this celebration of sport and togetherness. “We are incredibly proud to welcome 700 runners this year, and even more proud of the meaning behind every step they took. We also hope that Kayon Run can bring a positive impact to the surrounding community. For example, local accommodations can benefit from runners choosing to arrive early and stay overnight rather than traveling at dawn.
Community involvement in this event was also extraordinary residents contributed directly to the execution and success of the event.” I Wayan Sucitra, CEO of The Kayon Hotels & Resorts As Kayon Run continues to grow, the event remains committed to its mission: to connect people with nature, culture, and one another. Kayon Run 2026 is already in the works, promising even more meaningful and impactful experiences for Bali.
